Yes, we have not one, but TWO costume contests at The Steampunk World’s Fair this year!

Announcing the Steampunk Worlds Fair 2015 Costume Contest Extravaganza! A chance for exhibition and recognition of your hard work and ingenuity in costume making and assemblage. Costumers of the Con, this is your time to shine!

The Contest will be Hosted and Judged by the Four Hussars of the Apocalypse, Oberst- Colonel Caleb Graham, Field Marshal H. Brevard Brown III, and their Majesties Emperor & Empress Erik & Re Teague.

This year, in the interest of speediness and to be more inclusive, the Costume Contest will have a new format. Contestants will be grouped into one of 5 categories, which are:

Adventurer Group – Includes: Explorers, Hunters, Bandits, Safari Types, Pirates, Aviators, Ship Captains, Detectives, etc.
Science Group – Includes: Both the Mad and Sane Varieties, Doctors, Professors, Inventors, Tinkers, Engineers, etc.

Cosplay Group – Includes: Any version or riff of an EXISTING character; i.e. Superheroes, Fairy Tales, Anime, Sci- Fi Characters, Movie Characters, Literary Characters, Comic Book Characters, etc.
Group Costumes – Any group of 3 or more costumes of a like theme (pairs may enter the other categories). This can be a uniformed crew, monster fighting team, group of super heroes or fairy- tale characters, or any unified theme- costume group.
