Steampunk Poetry Slam
Announcing the first ever STEAMPUNK POETRY SLAM!! Hosted by your slam-mistress Lady Gotham/Dianne Miller.

Are you a poet, aching for a venue at Steampunk World’s Fair? Do you love to perform and write your own poetry? Do you hang around poetry venues? Are you a fan of the spoken word? Do you like judging things? Do you like clapping, cheering or making noise for any reason at all??? Then we need YOU at the Steampunk Poetry Slam!

Enjoy a couple of hours of verbal pugilism as poets go head to head in a competition for bragging rights (and prizes!!) of the best wordsmith of the Fair!!

This will be a three round poetry slam, highest scoring poets will be advanced to the next round. Poetry must be original and your own work. You will have the standard 3 minutes to perform your poem. You do not need to memorize your work, you may read from notes, but no props allowed. In this case, we will waive the “no costumes allowed” standard poetry slam rule as we’ll all be on an equal footing in that respect.

Due to the nature of some of the prizes, we ask that all poets be 18 years old and over.

Tell your friends, bring people to cheer for you! We need judges as well! Don’t worry if you’ve never done this before. Judging is best by those who have NO experience!!

Concardia Tournament
ConCardia is a new kind of game, unlike any other. Instead of buying it in a store, you collect it at an event! At a ConCardia event, players visit the ConCardia table, get the starter set of cards and a rules explanation if needed. They then adventure around the convention, seeking out vendors, performers, and others with cards to give them. Cards could be anywhere!

The cards are built into a deck and used to compete against other players in tournaments at the event.
